An oval yellow sapphire, surrounded by blue sapphires; yellow gold pin designed in the form of Louis XIV's emblem, "The Sun King". Large pins such as military orders and "bursts" were made popular by Diana Vreeland and were often used in jewelry design by Verdura and Schlumberger.
